A Unique Blend of Cultures
From the moment we started the day with Angel, it was clear that this wedding would be full of meaningful personal elements. Angel, originally from Mexico, wanted to incorporate a touch of his heritage into his getting-ready photos. With his best friend by his side, we captured him taking a special shot of Mezcal, a small but significant nod to his roots. While his mother and brother couldn’t be physically present, they shared intimate moments with him through video calls from Mexico. We were honoured to document these calls, preserving those connections for Angel.
Meanwhile, Natasha had her own unique cultural ties. Both of her mothers came from Peru, where they own and run a cocoa and coffee farm. They had brought some of their beautiful farm products to be showcased as gifts during the wedding reception, which added a lovely, personalized touch to the celebration. Natasha’s getting-ready session was filled with warmth and love, as she was surrounded by her moms, family, and close friends. Capturing the moment when both her mothers helped her into her dress was particularly moving—it felt like a quiet yet powerful testament to the love and support that filled the day.

The Ceremony: A Spiralling Celebration
Langdon Hall’s ceremony spaces are always stunning, but Natasha and Angel’s was especially unique. They decided to arrange the seating for their guests in a spiral pattern. One of the standout moments of the day was the Palo Santo ceremony performed by Natasha’s mothers during the reception. For those unfamiliar, Palo Santo is a type of wood often used in South American rituals to cleanse a space or person and bring positive energy. As the smoke from the Palo Santo filled the air, Natasha and Angel were surrounded by their family’s well-wishes and prayers for a blessed and happy life together. It was a deeply spiritual moment, and we felt honored to witness and capture it.

The Reception: An Afternoon of Dancing and Celebration
